On the Archive.org website and specifically HERE you can download a series of compilations entitled 0-9 Series.
These are 10 fun children’s albums released in 1989 by ABC Music (known then as ABC Records). The series was a huge success winning the ARIA Award for Best Children’s Album in 1990 and also in the same year was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Cover. Today the albums are streamed by ABC for Kids, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s part-time channel that airs programs for preschoolers. ABC Kids audio content is available through the ABC Kids listening app, website, and digital radio station.
Seven of the 10 compilations of the 0-9 Series are featured on Archive.org. The albums are aimed at children ages 0-9, with the playlist number corresponding to the target age: 0 (or Zzzero) for 0 years old to 9 (or Nine) for 9 years old. In all, more than 270 songs performed by some of the era’s most beloved artists in a range of genres were recorded.
There are lullabies in different languages for babies, songs about children and sounds of nature, and songs about social issues affecting young people. A promotional album, Zzzero – Nine Sampler, has been used to publicize the releases. Finally you will also find the Christmas compilation dedicated exclusively to Christmas.
Happy listening!
