Two days ago was the 10th anniversary of the death of the great artist Enzo Jannacci. Singer, cabaret artist, musician, jazz player… comedian and doctor, Jannacci has been a major figure in Italian popular culture; with his songs, but also with his irony and empathy he told many stories, of people on the margins, of forgotten realities.
Today Ocarina wants to remember him by listening to one of his most famous songs, Ninna nanna per un bambino. Released in 1991 on the album “L’uomo a metà,” the song , as the title suggests, is a sweet and delicate lullaby, dedicated to children and the beauty of childhood.
Written in a simple and poetic way, the piece describes a magical, fairy-tale world, where children are protected and cuddled by the stars, the wind and the moon. The gentle and soothing melody creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Ninna nanna per un bambino is a timeless song that has been loved not only by children, but also by their parents and grandparents, becoming a classic of Italian music.
Enjoy listening!
